About the SDGs

to transform our world

In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals – the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030.

The goals address the global challenges we face today, ranging from climate change and environmental degradation to poverty and inequality, without leaving anyone behind. Since then, countries, organisations and individuals from every corner of the globe have embraced the SDGs as a universal language, to both communicate and to measure their approach to sustainable development.

Thousands of initiatives are underway to make the SDGs a reality, yet much more needs to be done. With the SDG World Tour, we aim to inspire everyone in our global community to take the SDGs to heart and to commit to building a more prosperous future for all.
